Senate District 21 is the State Senate District served by long-term Democrat Senator Doug Henry. Doug Henry who has served in this seat ever since the Eisenhower Administration has a serious challenge this year from a progressive Democrat named Steve Yarbro. Whoever wins the Republican primary will face the winner of the Democrat primary in November. Many observers think that Yarbro has a good chance of beating the more conservative Henry and that Republican changes of winning the seat are good, expecially the if the Republican candidate is in a contest against Yarbro.
