Young Americans for Liberty at Vanderbilt will be hosting a healthcare
panel on the evening of Monday, March 26th, 7:00pm until 8:00pm. Held in Buttrick 206, this
panel will feature ophthalmologist Dr. Ming Wang and MediBid CEO Ralph
Weber. Free food and drinks will be provided to attendees.
Panel descriptions:
Surviving cultural revolution in China and appreciating freedom and
choice in America - Dr. Ming Wang, Harvard & MIT (MD, magna cum
laude); PhD (laser physics)
In this lecture, Dr. Wang will talk
about his experience of growing up as a teenager during China's Cultural
Revolution and his effort to escape the devastating fate of deportation
and a lifetime of poverty. He will talk about how he came to America
for freedom with just $50 in his pocket. He will also talk about his
"Great American question", about why the principles of freedom and
choice took root in this country and how important it is to realize how
precious that is and the need to protect it.
The effect of ObamaCare on the current student generation - Ralph Weber
Ralph F. Weber is a Canadian philanthropic entrepreneur, writer,
Certified Financial Planner, Registered Employee Benefits Consultant,
Chartered Life Underwriter, and Chartered Financial Consultant. Weber's
goal is to create a free-market health care system to help patients save
money. He regularly contributes articles and speaks at public and
private functions to promote awareness of domestic medical tourism,
patient rights, and the economics of health care.
