I tend to agree with Mark Rodgers' comment about this clip:
This would be hilarious if it were not being touted by people who want to take over the Republican Party by shrinking it to a rump of intolerant extremists. Think 'Lord of the Flies' meets Ayn Rand.
The tragedy is that Republicans came to power in Tennessee partly because open primaries allowed new voters to pick and choose. Over time this worked to the Republicans advantage. Now a minority of ideologues who can't be bothered with the complexities of public policy want to give up what works and undermine our successes.
Also the idea that Democrats can influence Republican primaries is nonsense. They can't even control their own primaries.
Hah!! Still, this is very funny.
