Obamacare Continues To Stifle Business In Tennessee

Brad Staats For Congress,October 25, 2012,

Brad Staats
Brad Staats today reminds small businesses across Tennessee that Obamacare continues to wreak havoc on small businesses. “This federal overreach has been responsible for the continuing lack of hiring in Tennessee,” said Staats. “Many small businesses have little idea what the healthcare mandates will mean to their bottom line, but most see nothing but increased costs and regulations and smaller profits.”

Brad Staats is a small business owner in Nashville who is responsible for hiring people, balancing a budget, and making a payroll. He has worked to be a job creator and understands the economics and discipline of building a business. On Obamacare, Staats says, “My friends in small business are terrified about the future and most of them tell me that they have no plans to expand, fearing any additional financial burden may place their businesses in jeopardy. Requiring them to comply with job-killing regulations is keeping them from expanding or even considering it.” Conversely, his opponent has little experience in making a payroll and has proved by his voting record he has little experience in balancing a budget.

“Jim Cooper was complicit in making sure this legislation passed the House in 2010. He bears responsibility for the thousands in Tennessee who will either lose their jobs or not be hired as a result. If Obamacare is allowed to proceed into 2014, healthcare in Tennessee will be provided by the same institutions that are destroying the economy with waste and corruption. I believe Tennesseans have little interest in losing their autonomy for their personal healthcare decisions.”

Brad Staats is a private businessman in Nashville and the Republican candidate for the 5th District Congressional Seat including Davidson County, Dickson County and southern Cheatham County. You can find out more about Brad Staats at www.bradstaats.com or on Facebook.
