Three Republicans who form the majority on the five-person Davidson
County Election Commission are on their way out, with replacements
likely coming next week, in a shakeup that ensures almost entirely new
membership following a turbulent year.
The State Election
Commission is slated to take up appointments to the commission after
Davidson County’s Republican state delegation makes recommendations
Monday. According to multiple Nashville commissioners, the delegation —
House Speaker Beth Harwell and Sens. Steve Dickerson and Ferrell Haile —
plans to nominate a clean slate. (link)
