Dean slams brakes on the Amp
Scott Harrison
Staff Reporter, Nashville Business Journal, Oct. 28, 2014- Nashville Mayor Karl Dean is passing the baton on the Amp, his controversial $174 million bus rapid-transit project.
In
the final meeting of his Citizens Advisory Committee, Dean announced
today that he will not seek state or local funding for the project in
2015. Given that next year is his last in office, doing so effectively
means getting the Amp off the ground will be dependent on the next
administration — should that administration choose to pick up the
mantle. (link)
