JEFF
WOOD
is a partner in the Washington DC office of Balch & Bingham LLP. From
2011-2014, Jeff served as legal counsel for Senator Jeff Sessions
(R-AL), a senior member of the Senate Committee on Environment &
Public Works. In that role, Mr. Wood worked regularly with
Senate and House staff on energy, environmental, transportation, and
agriculture law and policy matters, and interacted with members of
Congress and
key federal agency officials. He also served as the Republican Staff
Director
for the Senate Subcommittee on Clean Air & Nuclear Safety in the
113th
Congress and the Republican Staff Director for the Senate Subcommittee
on Water
& Wildlife in the 112th Congress. Prior to working on Capitol Hill,
Jeff was in-house counsel for Ingram Barge Company in Nashville. A
graduate of Florida State University
and Florida State University College of Law, Jeff now resides in
Northern
Virginia with his wife, Anna, and their four kids. During his time in
Nashville, Jeff co-chaired our Federalist Society chapter.
