Steve Hale, the Nashville Scene's Pith in the Wind blogger, got it right in his commentary, The Second Draft of History: A Boston Globe Revision of the Amp Story." He writes:
Did the Koch-bros-funded AFP have an impact on the downfall of The Amp? Yes. But to hold up their involvement as the primary takeaway of the story is to do PR work for them and for Karl Dean, and to ignore many other important (and interesting!) parts of the tale.I probably seldom see things the same as Hale, but he and I agree on The Boston Globe story that blames the defeat of the AMP on the Kock brothers.
