Autumn Evening
That the trees have spread on my lawn.
Is reflected in the streaks
In the western sky
Where the dying sun has gone.
In the eastern sky, though it's still daylight,
The newly risen moon is full and bright,
And will spread its rays o'er all the earth.
To bless throughout the night.
As the soft light leaches from the sky,
The colors fade away,
Leaving a world of bright moonlight.
At the end of an autumn day.
