Bill would prevent government discrimination against healthcare entities refusing to participate in abortion
Today the House of Representatives passed Congressman Diane Black’s legislation, the Conscience Protection Act, by a bipartisan vote of 245 – 182. The legislation amends the Public Health Service Act (PHSA) to prevent any federal state, or local government from penalizing or otherwise discriminating against a health care provider on the basis that the provider does not participate in abortion.
