Councilman Robert Swope defends the Opryland Hotel water park deal.

Councilman Robert Swope writing in today's Tennessean explains the Opryland water park deal that many have criticizes as "corporate welfare."  He points out that no public funds are going toward the project but that instead Opryland Hotel is getting a limited tax abatement.  He contents it is good deal for the city.
