On October 17, Mayor Barry announced a $5.2 billion transportation infrastructure plan called "Let's Move Nashville: Metro's Transportation Solution," which would be paid for by combination of sources including a sales tax increase that would tie Nashville with Chicago for the highest sales tax in the nation.
